Common people are the creators, inheritors and performers of flower-drum dance. As a form of folk performance. Miao flower drum dance widely spread in the Hunan-Guizhou borders. In the accompaniment of the drummer, its performers dance and beat the drum.Focusing on Miao drum dance in Guizhou Songtao Miao Autonomous County This thesis studies Miao drum dance in the cultural perspective. By leafing through the ancient literature and folk books, it reveals its historical origin. By visiting the folk artists and the flower drum dance lovers, it analyzes the development status of modern flower drum dance. By interviewing the inheritors and learning flower drum dance,I record some of the commonly used flower drum dance routines, and analyze the flowers inspired action rate and rules etc. So as to summarize the origins, developments, changes, traditional forms, contents and artistic characteristics of the flower drum dance, and analyze the development situation, existing problems and personal suggestions of Miao flower drum dance at present.It consists of four chapters, from introduction to conclusion. The introduction mainly expounds the reason of choosing this topic, the current research situation of this subject at home and abroad, and the related research theories and methods. It is compiled from my long-term study of literature, field investigation and practice learning notes. Based on Songtao since ancient times, geographical location and the local Miao by the influence of multicultural, it states Songtao Miao flower drum encouraging social and natural environment, history, cultural background and customs of Songtao Miao flower drum.In the next chapter, according to my study on literature collection over one year, combined with its current distribution, I analyze that its origin may be the Hunan Guizhou border laershan platform, focusing on the analysis of its changes and the relation to its origin. According to the flower drum dance practice and observation of flower drum dance folk activities, this chapter stresses the artistic features, action characteristics and performance rules of the flower drum dance. Finally, on the basis of investigation, I study the development status of Miao flower drum in different places, analyze the current features of diftrent teams, schools and pertormers, record the traditional beat routine, so as to facilitate future research.In the research methods, this thesis uses cultural anthropology, archaeological theory and other related theories. The author makes full use of the participation of anthropology to observe the law, staying together, living together with the local people. during observation and participation, conducted a more in-depth investigation and study. Besides recording the flower drum dance common rhythm, analyze the dance action in detail, in order to explore its common laws of dance movement, facilitate the primary Flower Drum Dancers to learn. At the same time, expounds its developing in different situations of, and states the author's personal recommendations.This article mainly take field survey, combined with personal study and survey on anthropology, try to record the current artistic features of the flower drum dance, commonly used routines and development status. According to read books and oral tradition, looking for its history mottled shadow, put forward the theory of its origins at the junction of the laershan platform in two provinces'border. It was influenced first by Gao Miao cultural, and later by Bashu, Jingchu culture.
