After The Japanese-Russian War, The Qing Government Saved The United States Diplomacy In The Northeast Crisis

In 1905 after the Russo-Japanese War,Manchuria facing double invasion of Russia and Japan.The situation was terrible.The Qing government was unable to protect themselves,can only try to do something in diplomacy: continue to pursue the policies of "play one barbarian state against another".So,they had to cast their eyes on American,over the other side of the ocean.The United States had been Strongly supporting Japan beating Russia,but only scored an own goal.After Japan obtaining the sphere of influence in Manchuria,instead,foreign trade in Manchuria of the United States suffered a near-fatal blow.The United States Diplomatic was in isolation while Japan was plain sailing on the diplomatic stage.In this context,China and the United States tried to work together to fight against Japan.After the reformation of the local system in Manchuria on April 1907,in order to implement the diplomacy uniting the United States,Manchuria authorities began to hire the people who had the pro-American bias and overseas experience from the United States.In the other side,Willard Dickerman Staight took up the post of the first consul general for the United States at Mukden.He immediately began to manoeuvre cooperation with Manchuria authorities.Thereafter,the United States persevered helping the Qing government to built new railway in Manchuria to get economic benefits.The Qing government tried to fight against Russia and Japan depending on the power of the United States.Xu Shichang and Tang Shaoyi started to run a series of diplomatic action including the xin-fa railway project,bank of Manchuria,visting the United States with Staight after their appointment of the new governor of Manchuria.In1909,the new president and Secretary of the United States strengthened the supporting force in Manchuria.They want to accomplishing the whole task at one battle: Manchuria railway neutralization project and jin-ai railway project.His-liang,the new governor of Manchuria,also participated in actively.The Qing government still tried to borrow money from the United States to reform the monetary until the moment of step down.Although the Qing government received little effect from the diplomacy allying with the United States,it made a good foundation for the relationship of China and the United States in the future of The Constitution of National China.In addition,it created a passive situation to the Japanese diplomacy and deepened the crack of Japan and the United States.It buried the seeds for the future of the Pacific War.All of this accelerated the process of modern history and made a profound impact for Northeast Asia and even the whole world.
