David Harvey's Study Of Cultural Outlook

The article is a study of David Harvay's viewpoint of culture base on the temporal and spatial vicissitudes.Through the temporal and spatial vicissitudes,economic,politics,and culture everything is changing.It's become "Globalization" accompanied by the contraction of the temporal and spatial.In Mr.Harvay's ideology,the synergy and interaction was happened between space production,economic,politics,and culture.In order to study Mr.Harvay's viewpoint of culture,we should research the temporal and spatial vicissitudes,the development of economic and politics,and human's life at first.Five parts included in this article.The first part is the introduction of the ideological origin of Mr.Harvay's viewpoint of culture,the theoretical logic,and the social history background.The second part we will talk about the theory of Mr.Harvay's "Time-space Compression".There are 3 Sub-part include in the second Part.Sub-part 1 is for explore the origination of the "Time-space Compression".Sub-part 2 is the analyzing of the "Time-space Compression".Sub-part 3 let's discuss about the evolution of the "Time-space Compression",and what left to us during the evolution.The third part is the discussion of the Postmodernism.Mr.Harvay believe that the culture had changed two times,the rise of Modernism,and the change of Postmodernism.First of all,let's analyze the characteristic of the Modernism and the reason of culture rise,and why it was changed to Postmodernism.Secondly,let's find the representation of the building,language,Movie,Artwork during the time of Postmodernism.At last,we will see the characteristic of the Postmodernism and the criticizing of Postmodernism from Mr.Hravay,paving for next part "The Dialectical of Utopia".The fourth part,we will find a final way of Mr.Harvay's viewpoint of culture.First,the analyzing of macroscopic "Globalization" and macrocosmic "Personage".Then,define and show the edge between "Space shapes Utopia" and "Social Process Utopia".At last,writer emphasize the importance of the combination between macroscopic and macrocosmic,time and space.Meanwhile,to show that the"Dialectical Utopia" is the way for liberation of mankind.The writer evaluate on Mr.Harvay's viewpoint of culture in last part.Mr.Harvay's viewpoint of culture use a more dialectical and more comprehensive view to analyze and criticize the cultural phenomenon happened during the time of Postmodernism though the research of different fields include time,space,geography,economic,society,political,and culture.Although Mr.Harvay has boundedness on his blueprint of Utopia,but it's undisputed that his theory of culture had made a great contribution to western scholars.
