In this paper,a comprehensive and systematic study of the distinguishing words in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language(TCFL)shows that the distinguishing words have a higher frequency in New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus and the teaching materials of TCFL,but there are some certain problems existing in compilation.Addtionally,this thesis has made a detailed investigation and analysis on teaching situation and acquisition of TCFL in distinguishing words.But it is found that some teachers of TCFL take no account of the teaching of distinguishing words.Therefore,many foreign students make a lot of errors in learning the distinctions between words and phrases.Based on the above study,this thesis will put forward the following suggestions on teaching and students' acquisition of distinguishing words:First,it is needed to consummate the grammar knowledge of the distinguishing words in the New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus and pay attention to its scientificity in compilation.Second,in the teaching process of distinguishing words,the teachers who teach Chinese as a foreign language should improve the accuracy of teaching,enhance the interestingness of teaching,and pay attention to the diversity of teaching methods.Third,foreign students should pay attention to the distinguishing words learning in grammar point,and strengthen learning strategies and methods.Through this thesis,it is hoped to provide valuable reference for the teaching and acquisition of distinguishing words in the future.
