In a long time, “Shi” sentences are an important content in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. They are also frequently used in daily life. It is the most important grammar in modern Chinese. While learning Chinese as a second language, learners have problems in using “Shi” sentences. On the basis of predecessors’ research, I select “Shi” sentences bias data in HSK dynamic composition corpus, interlanguage corpus and the composition of Heilongjiang University students, then do a research on the foreign students’ study of “shi” sentences, analyze them and organize the statistics so as to sort out the types accordingly and summarizes the reasons behind the biases. Finally, according to the whole study of biases, the author brings forth teaching advices, from the angle of teachers and teaching material, especially those of teaching approches and tactics.This article selects “Shi” sentences as the research objects, and hope that through my own research, it can reduce the biased error. At the same time, I hope the conclusion from the paper research can be applied to the later of the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
