On The Relationship Between Meng Haoran's Poetry And Tao And Xie

Before the Tang dynasty,landscape poetry and pastoral poetry which was traditional poetry developed independently.In the efforts of Xie Lingyun and Tao Yuanming,they appeared and became independently types of poetry,and developed independently according to their own traditions.However,after the Tang dynasty,landscape poetry and pastoral poetry had a tendency to combine together gradually.In the era of the flourishing Tang dynasty,the true confluence was completed mainly by Wang Wei and Meng Haoran.During this period,Meng Haoran had made outstanding contributions.The reason why Meng Haoran was able to promote landscape and pastoral poetry to an unprecedented height was that he absorbed the previous experience of landscape poetry and pastoral poetry.This paper aims to explore the relationship between Meng Haoran's poetry and traditional poetry,and dates back the origin between Tao Yuanming who is as the ancestor of pastoral poetry and Xie Lingyun who is an the ancestor of landscape poetry.Meanwhile,deeply discuss Meng Haoran's admiration and learning for Tao Yuanming and the continuing and changing for Tao and Xie.Also,analyze the reason of continuing and changing through contacting the historical development of landscape and pastoral poetry,the historical background of flourishing Tang dynasty and the living environment and personal reason of Meng Haoran.Another important point of this paper is to analyze how Meng Haoran makes the confluence of landscape poetry and pastoral poetry in his hand which emphasizes the common natural creative ideas of poets themselves as points,through from the point of Meng Haoran making enjoyable and xin-ji into landscape poetry,and deeply explores the problem of the confluence of expression and reproduction under the influence of the confluence of landscape poetry and pastoral poetry.The paper attempts to have a breakthrough based on the previous researches and contemporary scholars' researches.Taking the poetry of Meng and the origin of Tao and Xie as research subjects,it tries to depict the basic development of landscape poetry ans pastoral poetry and certainly prove Meng Haoran's significant contributions for the confluence of landscape poetry and pastoral poetry.
