On The Singing Skills Of Coloratura Soprano,Taking Mayla Variations As An Example

Coloratura originated from the period of polyphonic music in Europe.Coloratura soprano is famous for its lightness and dexterity in a distinctive voice part.The melody of coloratura is relatively difficult.It is generally composed of decorative sound,jumping sound or extremely fast colorful phrases,which has great requirements for the singer’s breath.It is through these decorations that the works can better reflect its uniqueness and color,which is also the charm of coloratura voice part.This paper mainly expresses my understanding of coloratura singing through the work "Mayila variations" I sang in my graduate stage.First,understand the origin of coloratura soprano and the development process of coloratura singing.The second step is to introduce the creative background and analyze the musical style of the work.Third,take the variation of Mayila as an example to deeply explore the skills of coloratura singing,and analyze the key points and difficulties to be solved when singing coloratura.Finally,through the singing style and singing skills of Wu Bixia and Chang Sisi,two famous coloratura Sopranos in China,we can understand the work,further analyze the expression of the work,and make the completion of the work more profound.It is through their singing analysis and combined with my own singing characteristics to analyze the "Mayila variations".In the practice of singing,we should grasp all aspects and be able to analyze and sing this work more comprehensively.Through the above four points,let me have some new prospects and understanding of coloratura soprano singing,which can be better applied to the art of singing.
