With the development of society,The pure numbers can not satisfy the need to express quantity.approximate number rose in response to the proper time and conditions.Which reflects euphemistic cultural character of Chinese nation.However,It became a difficult knowledge point for American students to grasp.Many American students have a number of errors when they use approximate number.Currently,Grammar educational circle pay more attention on Modern Chinese field,compared to the field of teaching Chinese as a second language.National research is very rare.Which can not provide theoretical supports for teachers who teach American students and American students who learn approximate number.Therefore,The writer analyzes common approximate number of Modern Chinesem then ranking Chinese approximate number in the base of making contrast analysis about Chinese and English.In order to test types of errors that American students have,studying Chinese approximate number,The writer uses questionnaire as an instrument and analyze reasons,offering teachers who teach American students some teaching adviceThis thesis is divided into four parts,The first part is introduction which briefly introduces research reasons?research situation?the shortage of previous scholars and research approaches.The second part is the research of common approximate number in Modern Chinese.The object of this thesis is the service condition of American students whose mother tongue is not Chinese.So that according to the complexity and commonly used degree,The writer selects common approximate number and analyzes in the aspects of grammar?semantic and pragmatics.The third part is the comparison of approximate number of English and Chinese.According to contrastive analysis theory which can help rank the grade of difficulty of Chinese approximate number.It can predict points where American students have difficulty in studying approximate number,In order to analyze errors of American students when they study Chinese approximate number better and more precisely,The writer designs a questionnaire in the base of rules of common Chinese approximate number so that can analyze and research types and seasons of American students Finally,the writer provides for teachers with some teaching strategies.The forth part is conclusion.This part concludes types of American students,Which are disordering,mix and misuse.According to analysis of errors reasons in the base of errors types,Reasons are negative transfer of native language,negative transfer of target language,the influence of learning strategy and communicative strategy,the influence of learning environment,the influence of cultural aspects.In the end of part,The writer provide teachers and students with teaching and learning strategies...
