The method of the expression of the approximate number is commonly used to express number in modern Chinese, and it is an essential part of teaching contents in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. There are many ways to express the approximate number, but to sum up, there are three commonly methods of the expression of the approximate number, namely numerals plus words expressed approximate number, two numerals used in conjunction, the flexible use of specific words. Foreign students have many biased errors in their process of the acquisition of the methods of the expression of the approximate number. To examine students’ errors, analysis reasons of biased errors, and successively put forward corresponding suggestions for teaching is the focus of this paper. Through examine and analysis the biased errors of the students, I hope we can predict the possible problems and difficulties of foreign students in advance, reducing the biased errors of students in the aspect of the acquisition of the approximate number. I also hope that the suggestions presented in this paper can play an important role in practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
