Investigation And Study Of Chinese Teaching In Aktobe, Kazakhstan

The wide spread of Chinese language made it one of the most popular languages in many countries and regions of the world,thus Chinese teaching also needed to develop accordingly.Gradually,in many places were established Confucius Institutes with successive developments.In the past few years,Chinese teaching in Central Asia has been rapidly developing and it has achieved remarkable results.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kazakhstan,the good relation between them had intensified and they cooperated in many fields such as in economy,culture,politics and others and their exchanges also strengthened,therefore Chinese language has become more and more important in Kazakhstan.Before Kazakhstan's Independence,there were almost no schools offering Chinese classes,but after the Independence many of them opened Chinese courses.Besides,there were held many activities related to Chinese culture too.It is of great significance and value to study the current situation of Chinese teaching in Kazakhstan.Through the survey that we have made,we found that between 2010 and 2015 there were 4384 people who studied Chinese in Aktobe,Kazakhstan.Between 2015 and 2016 there were more than two thousand people taking a Chinese course and the number of them is growing every year,fact that reveals the positive impact of the establishment of Confucius Institutes in Kazakhstan.Even so,in the region of Aktobe,Kazakhstan,there are still many problems and among them we can mention:the form and the content of the textbooks are not interesting enough and suitable for Kazaks students;the teaching level in this area still needs to be improved;the emphasis of teaching is more prominent in Aktobe city than in Aktobe region;the Chinese oral teaching is not effectiveenough and so on.This paper is based on the specialized literature and on the surveys.We have read a large number of other diploma papers related to our topic;we used as well Chinese and Russian websites as extra materials.There were distributed questionnaires in two universities in Aktobe region and the targets were the students and the teachers in order to understand the Chinese teaching situation in this place.This paper mainly investigates the situation of Chinese teaching in Aktobe region,Kazakhstan.By describing the circumstances of the actual teaching here,we pointed out the existing problems,we analyzed the reasons,we offered some advice for teaching and proper steps for improvement.This paper recognizes that there is a need to improve the training of Chinese teachers,a need to select better Chinese teaching materials,to use more efficient teaching methods and multimedia,to develop a language environment and so on.For the promotion of Chinese language teaching in Kazakhstan,there is important to train Chinese personnel to help to improve the quality of Chinese teaching.
