Shuo Wen Jie Zi Qun Jing Zheng Zi is an orthographical book written by Shao Ying of Q ing Dynasty,which takes Shuo Wen Jie Zi as standard to correct the wrongly written character in Confucian classics.Because the posterity is less,Shuo Wen Jie Zi Qun Jing Zheng Zi has received little attention in academic circles since it was written.So far,no one has done a special study on it.Today,the academic research on Q ing Dynasty linguistic works continue to expand and deepen.under this academic background,it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive interpretation of the book,analyzing its contents,digging its value and evaluating the gains and losses,so as to grasp Shao Ying's contribution on philology and the “study of Shuo Wen”.Shuo Wen Jie Zi Qun Jing Zheng Zi uses Shuo Wen Jie Zi as standard,correcting the wrongly written characters in the Thirteen classics,Yi Zhou Shu,Da Dai Li Ji,Guo Yu and other Confucian classics.Under each word,list Shuo Wen Jie Zi text first,then list the nonstandard examples in Confucian classics and ascertain the ir correct usage.Shao Ying takes Shuo Wen Jie Zi as the main basis,also cited Wu Jing Wen Zi,Jiu Jing Zi Yang,Yu P ian and other works to support the above standard.In the orthography,Shao Ying widely cited a variety of books and materials of some inscriptions.His study is not only on the orthography but also on the reasons of the difference.It has important significance for the research of the development of Chinese characters and provides an important material basis to the textual research of ancient lite rature words.Shuo Wen Jie Zi Qun Jing Zheng Zi on the Chinese characters mainly focus on character pattern,it researches the reasons of the change that caused by Li sheng,script change,alternative style of Chinese characters,non-standard C hinese characters and so on.It has analyzed the text phenomenon of ancient and moment words,variant words and borrowed characters and emended Shuo Wen Jie Zi at the same time.The academic value of Shuo Wen Jie Zi Qun Jing Zheng Zi is mainly reflected in the widely cited books and materials of stone inscriptions,rich materials of similar orthography;It compared and explained the word of easily to mix;It emended the present Shuo Wen Jie Zi;It promoted Chinese characters standardization.The deficiencies mainly manifests in that:It used too many quotations and looks too cumbersome;There are some words have yet to be verified and have no conclusion;It has many mistakes and looks not rigorous.Generally speaking,Shao Ying woks the advantages outweigh the disadvantages,regardless of their contribution or insufficient,can become an important reference to our language work.
