The Beauty Of Being--The Continuity Of Time And Space In The Paintings Of Taiwanese Painter Chen Jin (1907-1998)

Chen Jin(1907-1998)was a female artist in Glue color painting(also known as Oriental painting,etc.),in Taiwan.During the Japanese colonial period,she built her art business with the theme of portrait paintings,and won the award in Taiwan Viceroy Government Art Exhiibition and Japan Empire Exhibition.In the era from the traditional to the modern,learning to grasp the realistically expressive way of "figure painting" was almost as a direct sign of the process of the Westernization and industrialization in the Orient.Since Taiwan had been ceded to Japan because of Sino-Japanese War,it was a complicated collision,transition and blending with the Central Plains culture from China,Japanese culture and modern way of life introduced by them on the island.The process to find its own dwelling place was not difficult to reflect in Chen Jin's Character painting.At the same time,she kept purely the pursuit of "beauty",which would continue and overwhelm the personal body of the world.She had saved herself and the art from the gray of World War Two and political change between Japan and China.2017 is coinciding with the birth of a hundred and ten anniversary of the painter.Then,in the research results of the predecessors,the basic technical conditions of the material production process in the drawing of the painting are reinterpreted as the "phenomenon" in philosophy in this paper.Specifically to discuss her "beauty",how to be realized by the unique physical movement and awareness of consciousness,which would be the subject to create time and space within/outside the images.Thus,in her works,the cultural landscapes in Taiwan,the new relationship in her life and other themes will not only point to the image of the cultural meanings that are readable.The strength of the original recognition would also be revealed usually,and the "first"experience would always show the perception of excitement.With the freedom and introspection of each other in the form of drawing attitude,she had created a new sense of time in the oriental lines,which embodied in the works' subtle characters.Meanwhile,the scenes will be solidified in the moment because of the use of photographic technology,with the modern body's postures interacting with space and time in flashing urban life.Above,they are contained in the long time production silently in Glue color painting.
