The separable verb is a unique phenomenon of Chinese language due to its either together or separable ability. There are not this kind of verb or its separated forms in Vietnamese, this obviously leads to the noticeable discrepancy between the separated forms of Chinese separable verbs and their Vietnamese translation. However, there are some similarities which are worthy for us to do more study on them, therefore,we chose "The Vietnamese Corresponding Translation Study of the Separated Forms of Chinese Verb-Object Separable Verbs" as the title of this dissertation. In this paper, we mainly discussed the following three parts: Firstly, investigated the types of the separated forms of Separable Verbs and their Vietnamese corresponding translations;Secondly, analyzing the Vietnamese translation of the five types separated forms; Thirdly, some problems, principles and methods when translating the separated forms into Vietnamese. The Vietnamese corresponding translations of the separated forms can be divided into five types : 1) The translated form is the form of original separable verb; 2) The translated form is"Adverb+verb/phrase"; 3) The translated form is "Verb/phrase+object/modifiers; 4) The translated form is corresponding to the Chinese form; 5) The translated form needs to use prepositions, conjunction structure or pronoun transferring. The Vietnamese translation forms are mainly the first and the third one. The reason for the first one is that there are no grammatical point or expression that corresponds with the inserted elements in the Vietnamese. The reason for the third one is because of the differences in grammatical features between Chinese and Vietnamese, the modifiers in Vietnamese are mainly in the post, and verb can not be segregated as well. The reason for the second type is mainly due to some Chinese auxiliaries and complements can only correspond to the Vietnamese time adverbs or degree adverbs which are usually situated in front of the verbs or phrases. Translated into the fourth type is because some Chinese grammatical points have the similar grammatical structures or functions with those in Vietnamese. For the fifth one, due to the insertions as the attributives which are more complex, then we need to use prepositions or conjunction structures to express all the semantics in translated form. The majority of the separated forms of separable verbs can be translated according to the above rules, however, we also found that there are many different factors, such as the cultural characteristics and the cognition and association of people between the two countries that lead to using the different forms of translation and require us to use many different translation methods to ensure the translation principles including nationality, vividness and popularity.
