Qing’s adherents came after the perish of Qing dynasty,and it is a new group. Compared with the adherents of the past generations dynasties,they display its own uniqueness, because they were in the transition timing from feudal autocracy to democracy republican. Especially after The may fourth new culture movement, the traditional Confucianism lost its central position of the social value system. Their loyalty for the former dynasty was no longer admired around the world, but looked backward.In different historical period,depicting’s focus of the image of the-Qing dynasty is also different.The May 4th new culture movement’s fierce anti-traditional set the tone of the writing way of adherents of Qing dynasty in Chinese modern and contemporary novels.But it also presents different characteristics in before and after:when it gets closer to the climax of the may fourth period, the trace of anti-traditional is more obvious.The image of Qing’s adherents were basically shaped into the target which was for the intellectuals to criticize.
