Food is the highest standard of conduct for the people,and it is also the foundation of a country.For the agricultural country,food is a major problem for the government.But China has been suffering from famine.The famine in the last century was terrifying.A large number of writers who experienced famine have been using many ways to describe famine.They want to reveal the truth.Zhang Xianliang is a famous writer.He often shows his experiences through his novels.The experience of hunger and the phenomenon of famine are the core of his novels.The narrative style is related to realistic novels.There are four parts in the article.The paper will introduce the historical background of famine.It will introduce the theme of hunger and the study of novel.First of all,the paper will show their daily life and interpret the narrative features.Secondly,the paper will show the description of sex.The paper will show changes of human nature by describing daily life.Thirdly,the paper will try to explore the spiritual path.It will point out that people should get salvation by faith.
