After years of development,China's professional dance education has formed relatively complete education levels.Professional training,including secondary vocational school,college,undergraduate,and graduate educations at different levels,has become a complete system.Among them,secondary vocational school and undergraduate education are the most important levels in the professional dance education.First of all,the basic education level,i.e.,secondary vocational education,determines the quality of the cornerstone of the professional dance education.Secondly,due to the development of higher education in professional dance,the rapidly promoting undergraduate education has become an important part of China's professional dance education and talent cultivation system.Professional dance education should form a complete system,the completeness of which are reflected in the discipline construction,training objectives,disciplinary settings,curricular design,and teacher's structure,etc.The current situation of China's professional dance education sees uneven education quality among schools,these problems are reflected in secondary vocational and undergraduate education as follows:(i)ambiguity in the training objectives,disconnected teaching contents,and misaligned disciplinary settings between the two education levels;(ii)secondary vocational education sees ambiguity,vagueness,and fragility in its basic teaching contents;(iii)the course contents of undergraduate education,on the other hand,fails to satisfy its professional requirements in conformity,quality,and progressiveness.The above problems led to the disconnection,imbalance,and even local destruction of China's professional dance education system,which severely impedes the development of the secondary vocational and undergraduate education,making the evaluation of their teaching quality difficult for a long time.Moreover,these problems have been paid little attention to in the development of China's professional dance education.Therefore,for the purpose of completing China's professional dance education system,the author will try,analyzing the current situation of China's secondary vocational and undergraduate dance education based on the common rules,principles and methodologies of a education system,to offer some systematic and rational conceptions on the two education levels.
