Zhang Feng Painting Research

Zhang Feng was an important literati painter of the Jinling Paintings in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.He was born in the civil and military family,his grandfather and his father were all Ming Dynasty generals.His father,three uncles and his brother Zhang Yi have close ties with the scholars.Zhang Feng was ZhuSheng of Ming dynasty since childhood,and have made considerable achievements in poetry,painting,calligraphy,seals and other aspects,especially in painting.In the history,the evaluation about his paintings was extremely high,on the one hand,his painting works are very rare,and scattered in museums of China,the United States and others.There is still a big gap on him and his works in the current academic research.This paper starts from the historical text,explores the background of Zhang Feng’s family and his friendship.Secondly,combs Zhang Feng’s painting division,analyzes the characteristics of Zhang Feng’s painting,analyzes his achievements in poetry,painting and calligraphy and seals,and finally discusses the artistic position of Zhang Feng in that time,and analyzes the opinion of Jinling six important pinters by Professor Ruan Rongchun and the influence on Zhang Daqian and other people.
