Compared with the rapid development of modernization,the existing vocational education hasn't adapted itself to it.At present,there are many problems in vocational education,such as students' weak vocational abilities,teachers' low "double certificate” qualities,incomplete reform of practical teaching,the lack of close cooperation between enterprises and schools and so on.To meet the needs of innovating higher vocational education,a practical research on the “observing-learning-doing-assessing”(OLDA),which is based on constructivism,has been carried out.The contents of OLDA are based on a certain project or task and integrate the four stages to design,organize and implement the teaching process.It focuses on the use of advanced educational technology,teaching method and multiple assessment systems in the combination of theory,practice and assessment.The significance of the OLDA lies in bringing all-round reform to Higher Vocational Colleges.Firstly,the design of current curriculum needs to be modified since the project-based training is an effective way.Secondly,the delivering model needs to be changed and the practical teaching methods needs to be developed.Thirdly,we need to play the advantages of school-enterprise cooperation so that it can combine the talent cultivation of higher vocational colleges and the development of social economy.Fourthly,it helps to create excellent teacher team and reinforce the teachers' training of practical skill,which increases the teachers' practical experience.Fifthly,it attaches importance to the specialized inside and outside of college practical bases and turns practical teaching into main current and develops students' vocational abilities.In general,the OLDA model has given initial results and good effects.However,it should be realized that its development is just beginning.We will meet all kinds of troubles in the process of practice.So,it is necessary for us to develop the model through extensive and intensive research.
