It is a collection of koto scores compiled in the middle of the Kamakura period(1192-1333)in Japan. It consists of 20 volumes, including the score method, tune items,Tang music(including secret songs),Koryo music, and Joma music. The book was written in 1283.When Lin Qiansan examined the string setting of the zheng in the Tang dynasty,he based on the records in the "Zheng Zhigao".Therefore,it is a valuable source for investigating the music of the Tang dynasty and East Asian music. It also contains eight more volumes than the similar zheng score collection Renzhi Zhilu, and in the volume of "The Method of the Score",it also records the "Method of the Seven Sounds" which is not covered in Renzhi Zhilu."The Method of the Seven Sounds","The Method of the Thirteen Strings of the Zither","The Method of the Twelve Rhythms of the Swirling Palace","The Book of the Sound","The Book of the Rhythm","The Book of the Rhythm",and "The Book of the Rhythm"."The Book of Rhythm and Lute," "The Book of Elegant Music," "The Book of Tune," "The Book of Yao-Zheng," and other concepts of music law, instrument law,and aesthetics.Concepts In addition, there are 119 pieces of music from the Tang dynasty included in the book, which is 12 pieces more than the 107 pieces of music from the Tang dynasty included in the book, and there are also pieces composed by Sun Bin,a musician of the Tang dynasty,in the volume of "Tune Pieces",such as "Range Harmony".In this paper,we start from the "The Essentials of Koto" in the collection of Shurinbu of Miyauchi Hall,Japan, and discuss the background of the book in the light of the life of Fujiwara Shicho, the author of the collection of koto scores "Renzhi Shouro",the record of the transmission of the koto way in the "Qin Koto Ancestral Lineage" in the "Gunshu Shouro",and the development of music culture in the Kamakura period.Secondly,it summarizes the contents of the book, and analyzes the fingering and string names in the "case method",and examines the origin of the music theory transcribed in the book. Finally, the typical scores are selected and translated,so that we can have a concrete presentation of the Tang zheng songs in The Essentials of the Classical Zither.
