To solve the problem of shortage of Chinese teachers in the world,Hanban China started to implement the Volunteer Chinese Teacher Program in 2004.This project effectively solves the problem of insufficient Chinese teachers.Volunteer Chinese Teachers(hereafter referred to as “Volunteers”)have become the main force in the promotion of Chinese.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct an investigation on the comprehensive quality of volunteers.With the results of two questionnaires and appraisal form for volunteer Chinese teacher,this paper,which takes the volunteers sent by Heilongjiang University from the year of 2014 to 2016 as example,tries to conduct an exhaustive and systematic analysis of volunteer Chinese teachers' comprehensive quality from different perspectives.To be followed,the author summarizes the factors that would affect volunteers' overall quality and points out several suggestions in hope of improving their comprehensive quality.In general,the author hopes this paper will do good to the volunteer program and can enrich the content of related researches as well.
