The Influence Of Female Graduate Social Capital On Mate Preference

Women's higher education group mate choice has always been one of the hot topics in the society,their mate preference not only affects the individual decision making,but also affects the marital status in the future.It is of great practical significance to explore the status and influence factors of female graduate students' mating preference.In this study,413 female graduate students in Shanghai universities as subjects,using questionnaire method to investigate the female graduate student social capital and the relationship between the mating preferences,at the same time to explore whether the role by the regulation of subjective well-being.Through the analysis and processing of data,the research topic is explored in depth.The results are as follows:(1)There is a significant difference in the school type of female graduate students.Female graduate students in 985 universities value "good provider" more than female graduates of 211 universities.(2)There is a significant difference in the female graduate's family social capital in mate preference.The specific performance is: the status of female graduate students' family(parents are exposed to education degree,mother's political status,and professional administrative level),there are significant differences in the characteristics of "good personality".Female graduate student family relationships in the network "parents at ordinary times the number of close contact" significant differences on "good genes" characteristics,that is closely related to "people the highest administrative levels" in the "resources" trait differences close to significant level;(3)Social capital of female graduate school has influence on "good genes" and "good personality".Specifically,the difference in the social status(corporate position)of female graduate school in the "good gene" trait is close to the significance level.The school relationship network can positively predict the "good genes" and "good personality" characteristics;(4)The subjective well-being and social status in the family "good genes" idiosyncratic regulation role,for family low social status of female graduate student,high subjective well-being will enhance its consideration to the "good genes" characteristics.The results of this study have been helpful to female graduate students,to build,maintain and use social capital to provide a certain kind of reference,to help the female graduate student to know her own preferences and psychology.At the sametime,it provides some valuable information for the society to guide students to set up the correct views and values of marriage and love.
