Hu Honggongfu Research

Hu Hong,as the representative and founder of Huxiang School,his thought was once in decline.Mou Zongsan's book Xinti and Xingti makes Hu Hong's thought re entered the academic field through his canonize.The comprehensive interpretation of Song and Ming Dynastiesin's History of Neo-Confucianism by Hou Wailu lays a foundation for the study of the thought of Hu Hong in the mainland after that.Based on Hu Hong's theory of Gongfu,this paper tries to reveal the whole development and internal theoretical construction of Hu Hong's thought by tracing back to its origin.In this process,combining with the similarities and differences of Mencius,Cheng Hao and others' thoughts,it shows the inheritance of the Confucian traditional thought contained in Hu Hong's theory of Gongfu.On the basis of this concept,this paper takes three chapters as the basis,and through the analysis of the specific problems:The first chapter mainly discusses the relationship between Hu Hong's interpretation of "Xing" and the theory of mencius and cheng hao,as well as the internal theoretical differences reflected in the differences between Hu Hong and Zhu Xi on the question of heavenly principle and human desire.Through the combination of Hu Hong's theory of "Xing" and his political proposition,the thought of Hu Hong's theory of Gongfu is more intuitively displayed.The second chapter mainly discusses how to embody in the concrete cultivation on the basis of the possibility of "xian cha shi".By contrasting with the relevant thoughts in Cheng Hao's the article Shi Ren Pian and the difference between Zhu Xi's viewpoint on the issue of "qiu fang xin",the paper comprehensively discusses the inheritance and perfection of the predecessors' related theories on the question of how to carry out the "xian cha shi".The third chapter focuses on concrete self-cultivation,through the division between saints and ordinary people and the difference between scholars and politicians,Hu Hong's thought of Gongfu is put into practice in the life activities of everyone.In the concrete life activities,Hu Hong's thought of Gongfu is full of vitality and the characteristic of practical thought.
