"Natari Portman's 2015 Harvard Graduation Speech" English-Chinese Communication Simulation Practice Report

This report takes Natalie Portman's speech of 2015 Harvard University Graduation Ceremony as an example for a simulation consecutive interpretation,investigating the reasons for the difficulties in the process of simulation consecutive interpretation.Through recordings,texts and notes,the writer conducts self-assessment,finding the problems mainly in the pretermissions of interpretation and the errors of interpretation.Through the specific discussions of examples,the writer finds out the reasons for the problems,and then provides the strategies for memory improvement,systematic note-taking,knowledge accumulation and target language expression.The writer hopes that this simulation consecutive interpretation can provide some experience and methods for subsequent interpretation tasks,and help some interpreters improve the quality of interpretation.In addition,these experience and suggestions can serve as a useful reference for interpreters training.
