Research On The Legal Issues Of EU Technical Trade Barriers

Throughout the world economic development,regional group to globalization,but the world continues to introduce new trade laws and regulations,policies,in order to protect their own interests.Among them,the EU is the most typical representative of the development of group interests.The use of advanced science and technical,in the international trade in the flexible use of technical barriers to trade.Technical Barriers to Trade(TBT),refers to the international trade of goods imported countries in the implementation of trade import control through the promulgation of laws,decrees,regulations,the establishment of technical standers,certification system,quarantine system,etc.,The excessive importation of foreign products to development strict technical standers,health and quarantine standards,commodity packaging and labeling standards,thereby enhancing the technical requirements of import products,increase import difficulty,and ultimately achieve the purpose of restricting imports of a non-tariff barriers.The EU has gradually increased technical standards and maximized restrictions on the importations of goods,services and investments from other countries and regional organizations into the EU.Although the UK has been out of Europe,but the EU still holds China's second largest trading partner status.This paper analyzes the technical barriers to trade between China and the European Union in the course of trade by reviewing relevant EU policies and decrees on hot industries such as textiles and agriculture,and doing some research on China's current technical problems.Proposing feasible suggestions for actively responding to technical barriers to trade in economic globalization.
