In the 1990 s,the Danish scholar Esping Anderson used the concept of "w elfare model" for the first time in his book "Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalis m".Since 1990,the "welfare model" theory has gradually become a discipline Into the public vision,since then,the study of "welfare model" has become a very extensive use of proprietary terminology and has become a major concept and tool for the comparison of welfare states and welfare systems.The establis hment of a good welfare model for the actual situation of the country is not o nly the issue of affairs such as pension,medical care,unemployment,social as sistance,etc.,which actually focus on the balance of basic social relations and the construction of social basis.The establishment of the welfare model in line with the national conditions is the prerequisite for doing a good job of social management.This paper argues that Singapore,as a more special one in the Southeast Asian welfare system,has distinctive Singapore characteristics,that is,complem entary,mandatory,authoritarianism.Both the characteristics of conservatism or "cooperativeism" and the characteristics of the liberal model,are a mixed welfa re model with Singapore characteristics.In this paper,the welfare model of Singapore is analyzed in detail,and the method of comparative political system is used to analyze the welfare model of Singapore under the guidance of welfare state theory.This paper discusses t he background,motivation and influencing factors of Singapore welfare model,and the characteristics and contents of Singapore welfare model,and puts forw ard some thoughts on the development of welfare model in China.
