National Identity Of Israel Arabs

Survived in a complex environment, the Israeli Arabs have many contradiction and confusion, one of which is national identity.The level of national identity about Israeli Arabs is very complex, going through the Pan-Arabism national identity ,and into natioanl identity.The range of the identity gradually reduced, untill the Palestinian national identity. The Israeli government implemented a cague national policy and a ethnic discrimination under the egalitarian to the Arabs.Psychological trauma caused by this discrimination can not be ignored.The political demands of Israeli Arabs needs to be fully expressed. These demands link with the Palestinian liberation movement. As time goes on, generation after generation, political sensitivity of the Arabs was growing, The occurrence of the Intifada made the campaign to a climax. Intifada not only brought lasting peace in Israel, but also forced the Israel government to change policy on the occupied territories. The most important thing is: Intifada is a turning point. The national consciousness and national identity of Israeli Arabs have been greatly enhanced.Under the theme of national identity, national identity of the Israeli Arabs have shown a different state in different time, even in a fixed period compared to others. The encounterment is not the same.After the third Middle East war, Israeli Arabs identity is most strongly reversed. After the PLO declared the statehood in 1988, it promote Israeli Arabs to made a balance between the Jewish and Arab identity, such trade-offs necessarily keep the same values and the concept of the modern state with PLO. After enormous difficulties experienced and accumulated by the Arabs,the negative psychological needs time to adjust. This is what they need to think about.
