Belief Rationality And Institutional Authority: A Study Of The Political Discipline And Political Rules Of The Communist Party Of China

A basic thought that this paper intends to express is that belief rationality and system authoritativeness are the logical consideration and value conversion,and the mechanism of action of the Chinese Communist Party's rigorousness and impartialness towards the political disciplines and rules.Although human beings' behaviors are stipulated by the external systems,an emphasis should be placed on the implementation of self-justification of the primary beliefs and approved principles based on rational speculation and self-examination of reasoning.As a law,regulation and system inside the Party that stipulates individuals and organizations of the Party,political disciplines and rules are essential characteristics of individuals and organizations' belief rationality.Individuals' belief rationality is "reflective equilibrium" in the narrow sense,while organizations' belief rationality is "reflective equilibrium" in the broad sense.As a method of justification of ethical principles,the narrow sense of "reflective equilibrium"pursues partial coherence,while the broad sense of "reflective equilibrium" pursues integral coherence.Therefore,the belief rationality of individuals and organizations manifests an interactive relation,and organizations' belief rationality manifests a higher level of logical consistency and value determinacy.As an organizational principle and system,political disciplines and rules need the acknowledgement and the implementation of credibility under the role of belief rationality.Furthermore,they also need authoritative constraint that derives from system authoritativeness.During the implementation of the rigorousness and impartialness of political disciplines and rules,two major issues,namely,the deficiencies of belief rationality and system authoritativeness,urgently need to be solved.Organizations' belief rationality emphasizes the logical consistency of organizational behaviors,as well as the directivity and dynamic property of organizations' value selection.The Chinese Communist Party' s political disciplines and rules are exactly the consistency between the logic of organizational behaviors and value selection,and they also manifest universality,objectivity and ideality,and reflect the advancement of an organization.Individuals' belief rationality emphasizes the harmonious integration and self-justification of individuals' beliefs and organizations 'principles based on "reflective equilibrium".It manifests particularity,subjectivity and reality,and reflects individuals' differentiation.System authoritativeness emphasizes the relations between human beings and systems.Specifically speaking,it stipulates what kind of system should be complied with by the subject,what kind of people are restricted by the systems and what kind of attitude is held by the subject towards the systems.The stipulated subject' s compliance and the degree of compliance towards the systems reflects the systems' function,value,and level of efficiency,which is the essence of system authoritativeness.System authoritativeness is restricted by the scientific rationality of the systems,which involves the stipulated subject' s acknowledgement of the systems and the degree of utilization and implementation of the systems by the subject of implementation.Belief rationality is the internal driving force of system authoritativeness.As the two sides of system rules,both belief rationality and system authoritativeness play a significant role in the implementation of the goals of stipulation in accordance with the Party' s political disciplines and rules.Based on the analysis of belief rationality and the connotation of system authoritativeness,this paper plans to further elaborate the mechanism of action on implementing the rigorousness of the Party ' s political disciplines and rules,and demonstrate the feasibility of implementing the value goals through the political disciplines and rules,belief rationality and system authoritativeness of the internal laws and regulations.Furthermore,the existing obstacles of implementing the rigorousness of the Party's political disciplines and rules are explored,and feasible paths are proposed in accordance with these obstacles.This paper is divided into five chapters in total.The first chapter is introduction.In this chapter,an emphasis is placed on the introduction of the background and value of this research,and the research methods that are adopted during the research.In the second chapter,the basic theories of relevant concepts,such as belief rationality,system authoritativeness,political disciplines and rules,are mainly analyzed,which determines the base point of this research.In the third chapter,the mechanism of action of belief rationality on the Chinese Communist Party' s rigorousness in political disciplines and rules is primarily elaborated.In the fourth chapter,the mechanism of action of system authoritativeness on the Chinese Communist Party's rigorousness in political disciplines and rules is mainly discussed.In the fifth chapter,the existing obstacles and feasible paths of the Chinese Communist Party in the implementation of the rigorousness of political disciplines and rules are explored and analyzed.
