Singapore is a country full of magical colors in the world.It has long been British colonized,narrow national territory,and multi-ethnic immigrant countries.Under the long-term governance of one party,it has made remarkable achievements in development and quickly moved toward modernization.The process of Singapore's modernization after independence was followed by many scholars,especially the People's Action Party's authoritarian rule in Singapore,its highly efficient and clean bureaucratic system,and its people-centered development philosophy.The history of British colonization and the immigration of Chinese immigrants accounted for the vast majority of the population.Singapore's history has been constantly influenced by Westernization and Confucianism.This article mainly explores the cultural factors in Singapore's development from the political cultural choice in the process of modernization,and then studies the influence of Westernization and Confucianism choices in different periods on the modernization process of Singapore.The article is divided into five chapters.Among them,the first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the topic,domestic and foreign research review,research ideas and methods,anticipatory research results and innovations;The second chapter is political culture.In the theoretical part,the article introduces the core concept of the article—the related theories of political culture.The third chapter mainly elaborates the historical changes of Westernization and Confucianism in Singapore's modernization process and the Singapore government's cultural choices and strategies in this process;The fourth chapter is the focus of this article.Through the analysis of Singapore's Westernization and Confucianism's historical changes,we have come to the characteristics and causes of Singapore's cultural changes and Singapore's influence on the modernization of Singapore'scultural choices in different periods.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the passage.The comprehensive research analysis has drawn relevant conclusions.In the process of Singapore's modernization,Westernization's influence was mainly in the institutional aspect.The influence of Confucianism is mainly on values?and promoting social stability.The study concluded that Singapore's road to modernization incorporates both East and West political systems and political values,and is the result of the combined effects of Westernization and Confucianism.
