| STSE is the English abbreviation of "science,technology,society and environment".In the 21 st century,science,technology and society are more closely linked,and environmental problems are becoming more and more prominent.STSE education adapts to the theme of the times and has distinct values of the times.The 18 th CPC National Congress put forward the fundamental task of "Building Morality and cultivating people",and STSE education is one of the ways to realize this task.However,STSE education has not been well implemented in practical teaching.Therefore,the implementation of STSE education in middle school chemistry teaching has theoretical and practical significance.How to implement STSE education in middle school chemistry teaching,promote the improvement of students’ literacy level and implement the national requirements for talent training has become a problem worthy of our exploration.By combing the relevant literature,this study understands the research background,research significance and the research status of STSE education and unit teaching design at home and abroad.On this basis,it defines the concepts of STSE education and unit teaching,interprets the middle school chemistry unit teaching design based on the concept of STSE education from the aspects of connotation,mode and basic steps,and discusses the relevant theoretical basis.Then,using the methods of questionnaire and interview,this paper understands the implementation status of STSE education in middle school chemistry unit teaching,and formulates the unit teaching strategy based on the concept of STSE education.Next,in this study,two thematic units of "iron and its compounds" and "nitrogen and its compounds" are selected as cases,and the teaching design is carried out with the main line of "life enters Chemistry-chemical experiment exploration-Chemistry serves the society".The purpose is to combine the situational nature of STSE Education with the logic of unit teaching,and give full play to the educational value of STSE.Then,teaching practice was carried out in a middle school in Liaocheng.Finally,the implementation effect is evaluated through three aspects: classroom performance evaluation,questionnaire post-test results and examination score evaluation.Through teaching implementation and evaluation feedback,this study found that the unit teaching design based on STSE education concept has an obvious role in promoting students’ interest in chemistry learning.At the same time,students’ exploration level,literacy level,understanding of the relationship between chemistry and technology,society and environment,and students’ academic performance have been improved to varying degrees. |
