This dissertation mainly focuses on the application of STSE education concept in electrochemical teaching in senior high school.By consulting many literatures,we reviewed the research achievements of STSE education and electrochemical teaching at home and abroad,and expounded the connotations of STSE education on the basis of the theory of constructivism,life education,and situated cognition,as well as humanistic theory.Then,we also analyzed the STSE education content of electrochemical module in ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standard(2017edition)and chemistry textbook in senior high school.The current situation of electrochemistry teaching in senior high school was investigated by questionnaire from the four dimensions of students' understanding,signification recognition,source of acquisition,and learning attitude towards STSE education.According to the principles of teacher-led design,effectiveness of students' dominant role,and limitation of teaching application,we carried out the teaching design of Chapter 4 of chemistry textbook(Electives 4).The teaching practice was carried out in two parallel classes in the second year of senior high school,in which two teaching cases,namely Primary Battery and Chlor-Alkali Industry,were selected for demonstration.In conclusion,the results showed that it required high levels of scientific accomplishment of the teachers and it had significant effects on cultivating core literacy,learning interest,and environmental awareness of the students in electrochemical teaching under the STSE education concept.
