| The compulsory education English curriculum standard is the important basis of the writing of English textbooks. The new curriculum reform has been carried out for ten years. The ministry of education issued the compulsory education English curriculum standard in 2011. The new English curriculum standard is based on summarizing the-ten-year experience of curriculum reform. Many changes have taken place and it puts forward the new requirements on the compiling of primary school English textbook. People’s Education Press published the new primary school English textbooks which based on the idea of the new compulsory education English curriculum in September 2012. The new textbook which is better than the old version in many respects more accords with the reality of elementary student’s English learning. Therefore, English teachers should make full use of the textbook and play the maximization of the textbooks to improve the quality and level of the primary school English teaching. This article selects pep primary school English textbooks of 2003 edition and 2012 edition as the research objects, and mainly applies literature analysis method, comparison method and analysis method of text to compare these two editions.The main contents of this paper include the following sections:The first chapter is the introduction part, illustrating the research issues and the research significance, arranging and analyzing the existing research results at home and abroad, and illustrating what kind of scientific research methods to choose.The second chapter mainly discusses the changes of the compulsory education English curriculum standard in curriculum nature, curriculum design, the basic idea of curriculum, classification standards and implementation suggestions.The third chapter mainly discusses the comprehensive comparison and analysis of the surface structure and the deep structure of 2003 edition and 2012 edition primary school English textbooks which published by People’s Education Press. The surface structure mainly includes textbook compiling style, unit plates, graphic design and activity design. The deep structure includes phonetics and vocabulary, language skills, grammar structure and subject and content. Then the text discusses if the new edition primary school English textbook is in line with the new compulsory education English curriculum standard from language skills, language knowledge, emotional attitude, learning strategies and cultural awareness.The fourth chapter mainly comes up with teaching suggestions for primary school English textbooks in the optimized using of textbook, creation of classroom teaching situation and students’ interesting.Textbooks have been updating as the change of the time. English teachers should also comply with development of the time, constantly updating the teaching idea. Hope the study can offer some help for English teachers. |
