2001 witnessed the implementation of the basic education curriculum reform. Since then the attitudes towards implementation of the school curriculum is becoming diversified with the course content richer and course range larger, which brings more fresh nutrients for the students' development.As the most important access to realize the development of students, school curriculum should be sought for more breakthroughs so as to develop talents for the country. Following the principle of shouldering the efficiency, many schools began to explore the curriculum integration by optimizing the curriculum system.But there is always a gap between the ideal and the real.The complexity and variability produced at campus, which is the main place of school curriculum, restricts the development of school curriculum integration to some degree.In order to achieve the expected outcomes of school curriculum integration,it is necessary to trace the origin of the curriculum integration, to clarify the primary school curriculum integration practice,to objectively analyze the problems and reasons of the curriculum integration practice, and to explore the path of practice and corresponding operating strategies of school integration.In order to find a better guidance to construct the primary school curriculum integration, the paper firstly traces the history of the curriculum integration and divides it into three stages including preliminary exploration stage, deepening stage and comprehensively promoting stage,thus to summarize the features in curriculum integration evolution.Secondly, the paper deals with a comprehensive analysis of typical cases of the integration of the primary school curriculum by comparing the similarities and differences among cases. According to the depth of practice courses, these cases are classified into three types including macro planning, local participation and scattered combination. Thirdly, based on study of practice of the integration of China's primary school curriculum nearly twenty years, related interviews and questionnaires are designed to present the limitations and problems, such as understanding deviation, inefficient integration mechanism and rigid operational strategies.The paper touches the essential reasons in fourth part after analyzing the phenomenon in the former three chapters. The main reasons for restricting the development of curriculum integration falls into practice inability and the unsound management mechanism.Fifth,a step by step promotion of primary curriculum integration should be realized in three layers: by selecting proper strategies in teaching layer, by constructing a reasonable curriculum system in school administration layer, and by overall planning of curriculum integration in policy layer. Finally, in order to promote construction of school curriculum, schools should identify the essence of curriculum integration, then systematically plan and gradually promote the implementation of school curriculum in hierarchies.Curriculum integration cannot be accomplished overnight, without gradual optimization and improvement process. Schools should combine curriculum integration with their own development, to help students grow and promote the development of the school.
