| The geographical concept is the abstraction and generalization of geographic things, geographic phenomenon,geographic process and geographic essential attributes by geologists.Geographical concept is the most important link to make teachers and students from perceptual knowledge of geography to rational knowledge.It is also the basic process of developing students’ logical thinking ability.The new geography curriculum standard pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ thinking ability and formation of the correct ideas of geography. A correct understanding of geographical concept to enhance the contemporary middle school students creative thinking ability of geography and science of geography concept formation has very important practical significance. So new high school geography curriculum standards for students of geography concept logic cognitive ability also put forward higher requirements.However in the current teaching condition, students generally lack of geographical concepts of logic cognitive ability.Teachers in geography concept teaching in middle schools is also very difficult to find corresponding theoretical guidance, which lead the geography concept teaching failed to achieve the desired effect.In a middle school in common geographical concept as the research object, carries on the analysis of geographical concepts from the geographical concept of classification, definition and logic partition, geographical concept map’s application, which practice geography concept teaching in middle school and provide a theoretical basis.This paper is divided into 7 parts. The first part is the introduction, the research background, the research status and the significance of the research are analyzed, and the necessity of the research of geographical concept is pointed out.The second part is about the methods of the definition of geographical concept, and puts forward the method of standard geographical concept. The third and the fourth part is the elaboration of the classification and the logical division of the geographical concept, points out the common method of the classification of the geographical concept and the classification of the geographical concept.The fifth part is based on the theory of geographical concepts and the theory of logical division, in order to take the common geographical concept in teaching as an example, the design of the geography teaching case is carried out. The sixth part is to use the concept of geography to strengthen the logic of the concept of knowledge, through the case to clarify the correct and reasonable concept map drawing will make the teaching of geography concept teaching more effective.
