The key to China's reform of quality education is to cultivate students' independent thinking, independent learning ability,to improve students' cognitive level of learning.Space is the most basic characteristic of geography, geographical space as earth geographic phenomenon, background geographical process, it is crucial for understanding and learning.Therefore, cultivation of cognitive ability of students in geographical space is conducive to the expansion of students' geography thinking, improve the students' ability in geography learning. This requires teachers in the teaching process of geography not only need to update the teaching concepts and teaching objectives, but also to change the traditional teaching methods and teaching strategies.The "reference" as a noun for middle school students in physics, and it is not strange, "model,schema,cognitive structure, the abstract representation" such as the meaning of the concept is similar.But for middle school students, to understand the meaning of schema concepts such as memory or more difficult, so in order to facilitate the understanding of the middle school students learning, this study will high school students know the word "frame" in reference to the geographical discipline.This research adopts literature analysis method, theory comparison and case analysis, such as research methods, Based on high school geography classroom teaching experience, aiming at the requirement of new curriculum reform implementation, trying to frame of reference theory is applied to train middle school students' geographical spatial cognition practice, help students to build geographical spatial cognitive frame of reference, so that the students meet the geographical elements in spatial distribution and spatial relationships, can quickly representation in the brain can help middle school students' cognitive learning knowledge as a frame of reference, and according to the geographical reference frame to information processing of complex geographic elements, help students better understand the memory geographic problems.This study firstly introduces the meaning and characteristics of geographical spatial cognitive frame of reference, significance and research status at home and abroad, to find the corresponding theoretical basis and its theoretical system;Secondly introduced the different classification;Again according to the real case of middle school geography teaching, systematically probes into the factors influencing the geographical spatial cognitive frame of reference to generate and its application in geography learning;Finally, the application effect of geographical spatial cognitive frame of reference is forecasted, and put forward the problems and insufficiency in research, to be after further improvement and perfect.
