Within the revolution of preschool education, aspects, which include concentration on children's interests and hobbies, emphasis on children's feelings and experiences, highlighting children's personalized and social development and generalizing diversification mode, will be the major trend.Mixed-age regional activity, as a new form, meets this revolution requirement.Now, a few kindergartens in Shandong province realize the effect of mixed-age regional activities and start to discover and research.The following aspects within the activities are significant.They are the layout of the environment,the formulation of the rules, the arrangement of materials, the frequency of the a ctivity and the professionalism of teachers respectively. What is the current status of mixed-age regional activities when they are carried on?What are the possible problems within it? How to efficiently carry on mixed-age regional activities? In order to answer these questi ons, the author picked up a few kindergartens in Shandong province as research samples. Res earch methods, which include literature study, observation, interview and case analysis, were applied on the current status, problems and corresponding solutions of mixed-age regional act ivities. This research includes five chapters.Chapter 1 mainly introduces the reason and importance of choosing this topic. Then the r elated literature from both domestic and overseas is analyzed and concluded. Finally, it propo ses the research method and innovation point.Chapter 2 illustrates the definition,specialty, theoretical basis of mixed-age regional activ ities and discusses on the value of mixed-age regional activities.Chapter 3 states on the current status of kindergartens in Shandong province. In this part,illustration through observation and interviews methods is carried out on regional settings of activities range, progress of regional activities and teachers' knowledge about mixed age regional activities.Chapter 4 analyzes current problems within mixed-age regional activities. Problems are mainly in the following aspects:insufficient attention on activities,nonstandard layout for the environment, insufficient materials and equipment, nonstandard procedures,unprofessional introduction from teachers incomplete evaluate systems.Chapter 5 suggests strategy for improving the quality of mixed-age regional activities. T hese solutions include establishing correct scientific understanding, understanding the value, creating creating scientific environment, egulating procedures, elevating teachers' significance on activity introduction,creating a complete evaluation system.
