Verbal communicative competence is a kind of linguistic ability which determines whether a person can keep pace with the times. To the visually-impaired students in the Secondary Vocational School, verbal communicative competence can stimulate them to integrate into the mainstream society and reduce their reliance on barrier-free facilities.Based on the current lack of teaching skills and teaching assessment of verbal communication and the lack of analysis and evaluation of such students' physical & mental characteristics, and combined with the author's verbal communication teaching experience in Guangdong Peiying Vocational-technical school, this thesis aims to establish an appropriate curriculum system of cultivating the verbal communicative competence of visually-impaired students. On the premise of the particularity of visually-impaired students, this thesis firstly analyzes the factors influencing the verbal-competence teaching organization(the six factors are the Chinese teacher, parents, colleagues, visually-impaired students, teaching ideas, and teaching software& hardware), and then it analyzes how to innovate new practical teaching approaches. Finally the thesis puts forward theories about the particular factors, practical teaching approaches and assessment system of such verbal communication teaching, which are expected to truly and effectively guide the verbal communication teaching to visually-impaired students.
