Calligraphy teaching has a long history, it is based on writing teaching, writing in the font and structure to enhance the teaching activities as a goal. In the elementary school Chinese teaching, the content of the calligraphy teaching is basically put in the literacy and writing class. This paper focuses on the concept, connotation and current situation of Chinese calligraphy teaching in primary schools, and puts forward the corresponding strategies.This article is mainly divided into four chapters: the first chapter mainly explains the origin, content and significance of the topic, as well as the research methods and research contents.The second chapter is mainly through the questionnaire, interview, classroom observation method to grasp the status quo of Chinese calligraphy teaching in primary school. It is found that the main problems are: Students' interest in calligraphy teaching is not large; teachers' awareness of calligraphy teaching is not enough; the method of calligraphy teaching is not proper; primary school language teaching materials are not arranged properly.The third chapter mainly clarifies the theoretical basis of the primary school Chinese calligraphy teaching and the orientation of the content and the goal of calligraphy teaching.The fourth chapter is in view of the problems existing in the primary school Chinese calligraphy teaching strategy, mainly: to stimulate students interest in learning; improving teaching means teaching calligraphy; select suitable calligraphy teaching; increase the proportion of calligraphy curriculum, refined calligraphy course specific requirements.
