Content:The ability to read the musical notation is the key to the music world,which is also an essential component for astudent who is learning music.To have the proficiency to read the numbered musical notation is the basic quality for every student.In recentyears,a survey shows that both the Primary School students and the Junior and Senior High students are not good at reading the musical notation which is often seen as a"boring and difficult" task;thus,many students are not highly interested in reading the musical notation.Plus,many teachers do not have enough enthusiasm about the teaching of musical notation,which adds the difficulty to this teaching process.After 2007,there was a music class revolution,which lessened the importance of musical notation teaching.Now,under the new situation,how to make the musical notation teaching return to the music class and how to efficiently conduct the musical notation teaching has become a problem which needs to be solved urgently.This paper is mainly based on the author's investigation,analyzing the current situation that the Senior High School students lack the capability of reading the musical notation.This paper talks about several problems:whether the Senior High School students should learn how to read the musical notation or not.what the difference is between students' abilities to read the musical notation,what the standard is for both the Chinese and American music classes,how to choose the proper teaching content for the students,and how to evaluate students' performance.Through the practice in recent years,the author has concluded a practical plan which is suitable for Senior High School students.There are mainly three aspects in the plan,including:reading the musical notation,rehearsal training,and the translation between staff notation and numbered musical notation.The author has given detailed introduction to these three aspects and added the musical notation to this paper,which make the readers know the whole teaching process more directly and authentically.The fourth part is the teaching plan and the arrangement for the musical notation class,from the easiest to the hardest,which emphasizes the practicability of the class.The author also uses a table to show the class arrangement.The last part is the author's conclusion and comprehension of the teaching experience,and also the solutions to the problems in the teaching of musical notation class.The author hopes that through the improvement of the relationship between teachers and students,teachers are supposed to constantly reflect those problems in musical notation classes,and know the demand of the students for the musical notation classes,so that teachers can better their teaching methodologies,which makes every student attend the musical notation classes more happily and actively.
