| 21 st century is a quickly-developing information age, coupled with the continuous development of China’s national vocational education system. Till now, a new advanced vocational education system which is dynamic and suitable for China’s socialist modernization has already had its primary. Urban Vocational College of Sichuan (abbreviated to UVCS), holding the idea of "quality-forming education" to run the college, aims at solving the problems in students’behavioral habit, attitude towards life, study motivation and habit, competence and job quality. It finally finds an answer to the question "how to train talents" and established a personnel training mode, basing on the education for all-round development, which is comparatively stable and with its own feature. To facilitate UVCS’development and to promote the sustainable development of the advanced vocational education as well, innovation in physical education is urgently required.Literature review, questionnaire survey, expert interviews are adopted in this study to seek the methods and strategies in UVCS’physical education innovation, hoping to provide theoretical foundation for UVCS’physical education development and the improvement of teaching and talent training.This study has drawn the following conclusions.1. The survey analysis shows that UVCS can not meet physical education and teaching needs in aspects of teaching mode, teaching contents, teacher staffing. This finding is also the major reason why the college needs to innovate physical education.2. Applying the quality-forming education concept to physical education helps students to form good habit and correct the bad one. This is the training strategy and concept of UVCS, which even serves as the theoretical foundation for training talents in vocational colleges.3. The innovation in physical concepts, classroom teaching and extracurricular activities enables physical education to get rid of traditional education ideas in all aspects, and keep pace with the social development.4. By establishing a course system for all-round development and embracing quality development in physical teaching and extracurricular physical competition, the goal of physical education innovation can be achieved. |
