“PDCA cycle” is a model of a continuous improvement. It contains four cycles process of continuous improvement and continuous learning,what is“Plan”,“Do”,“Check, “Act”. This article explores table tennis compulsory class teaching effect of "PDCA cycle" model in Institutions of higher learning physical education profession.Through finding and reading relevant literature, expert interview,questionnaire survey, clarify the concept of "PDCA cycle" and the current research progress. In level 2014 of Hubei normal university sports college sports education professional, using two different modes teach to 76 students. Before the test, the students were divided into four classes. The whole experiment process is done by the sports college table tennis professional teacher. We randomly selected two classes as experimental group and two classes as control group. The number of the forehand attack and backhand block,the technical evaluation of the forehand attack,backhand block,three variables' scores of explain ability, demonstration ability, error correction ability were statistically analyzed by Spss19.0 statistical software.The experimental results show that:(1)On the students' physical quality index, the experimental group and control group can improve quality of “Sit and Reach”and“Shuttle run”. But, the experimental group and control group on “sit and reach” is no significant difference(p > 0.05). On the “Shuttle run”, it is Significant difference, and the experimental group is higher than the control group(p < 0.05).(2)On the four indexes of the number of the forehand attack and left push right attack, experimental group and control group were significant differences(p < 0.05).the experimental group is higher than the control group.(3)The experimental group and control group in explanation, demonstration, error correction ability scores exist significant differences(p < 0.05).The experimental results is that the experimental group is higher than the control group.Research conclusions:(1)In table tennis common class teaching effect in Institutions of higher learning physical education profession, "PDCA cycle" teaching model comparing with the traditional teaching mode, it is superior to the traditional model in the forehand attack and left push right attack.(2) In table tennis teaching of the common course, the PDCA cycle can effectively strengthen the learning process,to improve the students' ability of explanation, demonstration, error correction and so on.(3)The PDCA circulation method is introduced into the table tennis common course teaching to cultivate students' learning initiative, to promote the interaction between the teachers and students and the interaction between students, to cultivate the students' ability of independent discovery and solve problems. The final results is improving thestudents' comprehensive quality.
