Swimming is a high-risk sport.Because the project is dangerous, there are many problems in all aspects of the swimming teaching process. It is necessary to manage and improve each link effectively. At present, most of the swimming teaching is based on the regular physical education learning teaching mode, which has certained advantages for the students' sports skills, but it is not conducive to the overall development of students. The PDCA cycle is a continuous improvement model that includes four cycles of continuous improvement and continuous learning, namely P(Plan),Ex(Do),Check(Check),and Process(Act).By aligning this complete system and operation program with the physical education teaching mode, the PDCA cycle mode of swimming lessons is constructed, which is executed in strict accordance with 4 stages and 8 steps. The P planning phase consists of four steps:(1)nvestigating and analyzing the status quo, finding the solution to achieve the target;(2)identifying the various influencing factors and causes of the problem;and(3)analyzing the influencing factors and causes of the primary and secondary;(4)conduct analysis and summary, formulate feasible measures plan;D implementation stage: execute according to plan;C check stage: check implementation results;A processing stage: divide into two steps,(1)summarize effective experience and failure lessons and propose rectification opinions;(2)transfer unresolved or emerging issues to the next cycle. In order to test the rationality and effectiveness of the PDCA cycle pattern design, this paper uses the literature data method, the survey method, the experimental method and the mathematical statistics method to take 60 students from the physical education major of Hebei Science and Technology Normal University as the experimental object. From March 17,2018 to May 20,2018,a swimming teaching experiment was conducted at the Qinhuangdao Chenxi Swimming Hall. There are 2 lessons per week,a total of 16 lessons, each class is 90 minutes.By constructing the PDCA cycle model, the students were trained in the swimming mode of the normal sports skill learning mode and the swimming mode of the PDCA cycle mode. After comparing the different teaching modes of the students in the two classes, the breaststroke technique assessment, compliance, teaching ability and learning interest were compared.Through teaching experiments, the following results are obtained:(1)Changes in swimming technical assessment results: PDCA circulation model teaching significantly improved students' technical assessment scores(P<0.05).(2)Changes in the standard of breaststroke: The experimental class was superior to the control class in the results of breaststroke reaching the standard, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).(3)Changes in teaching ability: There were highly significant differences between the experimental and control classes in the three indicators of explanatory ability, demonstration ability, discovery and corrective action ability(P<0.01),and significant in the teaching organization ability index.Sexual differences(P<0.05),the results of the experimental group were higher than the control group.(4)Changes in student breaststroke learning interest: After the experiment, the experimental class showed a highly significant difference(P<0.01)in the three dimensions of the degree of self-learning,extracurricular attention and participation in physical activity. There was no significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in the learning degree index(P>0.05).The comparison results in the experimental class interest group were in the three dimensions of the degree of physical education, extracurricular self-learning,extracurricular attention and participation in sports activities. There was a highly significant difference(P<0.01),and there was a significant difference in the degree of aversion to physical education. The comparison results in the control group showed that in the degree of aversion to learning, the degree of love for physical education, the degree of extracurricular self-learning,extracurricular attention and participation in sports activities. There were no significant differences in the 4 dimensions(P>0.05).Through the results, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Combining the PDCA cycle with the physical education mode, the PDCA cycle model of the swimming class was designed and applied to the swimming class teaching of the physical education major of Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology, which is feasible and superior.(2)The PDCA circulation model is applied to the swimming teaching experiment of college physical education majors.Compared with the regular teaching mode, the students in the experimental class are better than the control class in the evaluation of breaststroke technology and the standard, which can achieve better learning results..(3)In the teaching of swimming class,PDCA cycle mode can effectively strengthen the skill learning process, and can continuously improve and improve students' explanation, demonstration, error correction and organizational ability, which will help improve the teaching ability of students majoring in physical education. It meets the training objectives of students majoring in physical education.(4)The introduction of the PDCA cycle mode into the swimming class teaching helps to promote the interaction between teachers and students and between students, thus stimulating students' interest in learning. After the teaching experiment, there is no significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in the dimension of aversion learning, but there are significant differences in the three dimensions of the degree of physical education, extracurricular self-study,extracurricular attention and participation in physical activity.
