| Our country is paying increasing attentions to the construction of physique in adolescents, covering increasingly comprehensive aspects, including releases of policies, implementation adequacy and scope, and other. Students of vocational technical institutes are the main force of social services in the future, while female students are a vulnerable group in vocational technical institutes and assume both family and social responsibilities after graduations. Family stability is the basis of social stability, while females are cores for stability of every family, therefore enhancing female physique and forming habits of lifelong sport make a significant difference. However, girls in vocational technical institutes are generally with poorer physique than undergraduates of the same age. Line dance, with its unique characters and valuable functions, accords with physical needs of girls in vocational technical institutes. Therefore, line dance is selected as the intervention measure in this paper to explore the impacts of line dance on girls in vocational technical institutes,concerning aspects of body shape, physical function and physical quality.Sophomore female students from HUAYUAN Campus of Chengdu Vocational Technical Institute are selected as the research subject in this experiment; a total of 20 girls are randomly selected from 100 girls of the Line Dance Elective Class and the Shadowboxing Elective Class each for a 3-month long experiment. The experimental group is trained with line dance and the control group with shadowboxing. Literature method, mathematical statistics and experimental method are used for intergroup comparison and comparison of different indicators before and after the experiment.The followings are concluded.After line dance trainings, the total physique performance in the experimental group is improved with increased amount of qualified and excellent performances,indicating that line dance promotes various physique-concerned aspects of girls from the vocational technical institute.Line dancing effectively improve the obesity conditions of girls from the vocational technical institute.After line dancing trainings, the proportion of girls with normal body weights increases by 30% in the experimental group, and the proportions of obese and overweight girls reduces by 25%.Line dancing effectively trains lumbar and abdominal muscles, reduces lumbar and abdominal fat, adjusts their measurements of chest, waist and hips, and shapes healthy bodies. For girls of the experimental group, heights and chest circumferences show no significant changes while waistlines, hiplines and BMIs decreasesignificantly after line dancing trainings.Line dance effectively trains their hearts and lungs and improves aerobic metabolism.Vital capacities increase obviously in the experimental group after the experiment.Line dance effectively trains their physical strengths, flexibility, endurance, body coordination and other physique performances in girls from vocational technical institutes. After the experiment, performances of sit-up, standing broad jump,sit-and-reach, 50-meter running and 800-meter running are significantly improved in the experimental group. |
