Survival education is to help students to learn survival knowledge, master the education of survival skills, and geography course requires students to master basic geographic knowledge, acquire basic geographical skills and methods. Therefore, the development of survival education is the inevitable requirement of the development of geography teaching. Geography curriculum standard of compulsory education in our country: geography teaching must be helpful to improve students ability of life, and it must be useful for the development of life. In 2003 the Ministry of education to develop a <full-time ordinary high school geography new curriculum standard > also made it clear that“design with age and high school geography curriculum to provide future citizens with the necessary knowledge of geography and enhance students' geography learning ability and survival ability”. Thus, the state attaches great importance to the high school geography survival education.The study in the system to acquire the survival education theory knowledge and geography knowledge based, by sorting out the domestic and international survival education research results, combined with their understanding of the concept of life education, summarizes the theory, and analyze the feasibility of the survival education of Geography in middle schools. In addition, through the questionnaire survey of some geography teachers and students, to understand the current situation of the teaching of geographical survival education, analyze the existing problems. Finally, in the analysis of the high school geography teaching goal, the content, based on the geography teaching in the survival education to carry on the strategy research. In order to explore the teaching model of geography survival education, this article combines the high school geography teaching material to carry on the survival education case design. The conclusion part carries on the system analysis to the entire research process, summarizes the research deficiency.The survival education of middle school geography is advantageous to the improvement of students' ability to adapt to life, to cultivate students' survival skills and to promote the students' all-round development. Therefore, every geographical educator in the process of teaching geography knowledge needs to take into account the survival and education teaching.
