Throughout history and looking at the process of development, the scientific spir it which contains the spirit of exploring,reforming and innovation, truth-seeking and truth-seeking,rational criticism,democratic cooperation, brave practicing etc. is alway s shining bright, which is not only a necessary "nutrients" to improve the personal co mprehensive quality,but also the fine "food" of the national future and the trend o f national prospect.History lesson, covering a wide range, content, comprehensive and its scope of knowledge dabbling in social existence has created all the material civilization and spi ritual civilization,which have incomparable innate advantages in the aspect of cultivat ing the students' scientific spirit, compared to other disciplines.According to the obj ectives and requirements of the new curriculum reform in elementary education,the cultivation of scientific spirit of middle school students should be an important part of middle school history teaching.But from the survey and interviews, Current situation of cultivation make people sad and serious.This paper, which consists of six parts,mainly discusses the problem of the c ultivation of students' scientific spirit in the history teaching in secondary school s. The first part, which is an introduction, describes the purpose and significance o f research on the subject, and the present situation and the trend of the research on t his issue at home and abroad,and the main methods used in this research,and what a re the innovation.The second part, which is the summary of the scientific spirit, mak es a systematic explanation on the concept and connotation of scientific spirit through the consult massive literature and add my own understanding.The third part,which i s the relationship between the middle school history teaching and the cultivation of s cientific spirit, discusses that the important and necessary of cultivation of students' s cientific spirit in the middle school history lesson, and points out the advantage cond ition of the middle school history teaching than other disciplines.The fourth part,which is the current situation and the causes of the middle school students' scientific sp irit, finds problems and deficiencies, and analysis reasons,through a questionnaire su rvey of students from different classes in a middle school in Zichuan District of Zib o city and the interview of history teachers. The fifth part,which is the strategy of tra ining for the scientific spirit in middle school history teaching,researches strategy of how to do well the training work,according to the problems found. The sixth part is the conclusion.
