Social Work Involves The Study Of Street Children's Assistance

After reform and opening up, at the same time of the development of Chinese economy, more and more social problems have emerged.With the acceleration of the urbanization process,the number of street children in the city shows an upward trend year by year.The resulting social problems and family problems can not be ignored.Poverty, family education, population mobility and other issues are all likely to be the cause of the street children.The relief of the street children along with the characteristics of the new era also has new features,namely, from the previous mandatory asylum to protective relief,from the previous material assistance to the spiritual assistance,the inner needs of street children and future development issues are increasingly paid attention to.In this study, I based on the investigation of the street children in the minors protection center of Xi'an city,taking the theory of social work as support,this paper has analyzed the meaning, characteristics and causes of the street children, which is more conducive to helping us understand the inner needs of the street children.The involvement of social work can make the relief of the street children more scientific, humane,professional and accurate,which is more conducive to the street children to smoothly return to the family and the mainstream society.The involvement of social work can also better integrate the resources of all aspects, mobilize more social forces to help the street children and better integrate of government relief and civil relief in order to make the relief of the street children form a whole system.
