The Intervention Of Social Work On Street Children Assistance

Street children is a vulnerable groups that we should concern, they separated from normal life, from family care and education, they need more social work professional intervention in addition to the street children assistance official routine.This paper takes A city assistance station as an example,taking social work theory as foundation collecting the data including literature method, case study method,interview method. Firstly,i describe the types, characteristics and causes of wandering.The Types of street children is left home, abandoned, slipped, be pessimistic and world weary type; characteristics of street children including psychological characteristics and behavior characteristics; family exclusion and social support network loss make they become street children. Secondly,dcscribing the social work intervention in status, social workers and the advantages of social work in the street children assistance. Analysis street social workers intervention in A assistance station, and put forward some countermeasures to strengthen the social work intervention--expand outreach social work field in view of the present problems, rich in social service, mutual integration efforts and mechanism.Through this study, taking the street children social work assistance deeper thinking.lt can make contribute to the implementation of science and humanity on the street children assistance, help to make full use of our resources for more street children services, the government departments to stray staff more reasonable policy. Study on social work intervention through the street children assistance, to help homeless children, broadened social worker’s idea, enrich the theory of social work, promote the development of social work practice.
