As the mathematics education reforms unceasingly, mathematics discipline plays an important role in talents cultivation, the development of science and the technology. Due to the rapid development of the natural science, the science of technology and the economic science, maths become the necessary quality to adapt to social development, we can learn to use mathematical methods and ideas to solve the relevant problems in the development of the science and technology and the humanistic management. Geometric visualization is a mathematician generic method in the different sujects, so the space imagination ability must be used, because it plays an irreplaceable role for the every branch of mathematics.In this research, first of all, the space imagination ability becomes a basic skill of mathematics, in the course of mathematics education reform, the connotation of spatial ability is changed or not, and how the changes it is in the process, this is a question of worth studying and thinking. In this paper, we compare the syllabus (in 1990,1996 and 2002) and the concept of spatial ability in the new curriculum standard. By comparing the value orientation of curriculum standard and teaching outline, teaching outline of positioning focuses more on the knowledge content learning, emphasizes the knowledge itself and the relationship between students' intellectual education development. However, the curriculum standard pays more attention to student's psychological development, it emphasizes knowledge concept and adaptability between the students' psychological development, so it pays more attention to the applicability of the mathematics knowledge widely and appliedly, eventually it can cause the raise of ability for the student. Secondly, under the premise of constantly changes and updates in the spatial ability, the writing style of the course is bound to corresponding changes, and it has been taken place. Finally, in order to develop the students' ability of space imagination, the teaching and the learning have the requirements and challenges. By the development of the basic ability in the high school with the mathematics, and curriculum development leads to the problems at papers in home and abroad. By reading the literature, we can compare the connotation of the spatial ability in the curriculum reform of our country in the process of change. And we can compare the presentation on spatial ability in mathematics teaching material and teaching material compiling methods, we will take a comparative study of related fixed number of year in China and carry out a statistical analysis on the new curriculum standard mathematics teaching outline, we will grasp the related data on the relative concepts in mathematics teaching material and sample problem sets. When we carry on the comparison to the syllabus and curriculum standard, the main targets are the description comparison, the difference of target classification, goal level, and contains the comparison of the teaching content. The changes of the spatial ability concept are caused by the way of compiling textbooks and the change of style, mainly include: firstly, from the point of the design of the whole section, the changes of the more obvious way of writing are the increase of the courses, course content enhances the stage, and the introduction of the space vector. Secondly, the arrangement principle of the content of the solid geometry is from the overall to local, from the concrete to the abstract principle. Thirdly, it is the balance of the reasoning and the deductive reasoning. Fourth, it includes graphic distortion and training of the transformation. Fifth, it is the expression and the comprehension of the concept. Sixth, it contacts the life actual, emphasises on the application.The suggestions to the teaching and learning, first of all, in order to make students improve the ability of space imagination, firstly, students should cause enough attention of solid geometry content, using the correct method of study, to carry out the thinking training, improve the basic mapping ability, strengthen the graphics transformation ability, enhance their awareness of geometry and space. Secondly, to enhance the students' ability of space imagination, it has a certain influence that the correct teaching method, the teaching mode and the teaching process on the formation of students' ability, we should make the knowledge and the ability in hand, combined with the specific teaching content, we should make the reasonable effective teaching design and teaching organization, eventually make build space conception in the student mind, and form a spatial ability.
