Review lesson, as a type of further understanding and deepening of the knowledge, is playing a pivotal role in the middle school mathematics teaching, undertaking a task of analyzing knowledge structure and constructing knowledge network. However, there are many shortcomings in the actual review teaching. Concept map is a visualization tool for organization and representation of knowledge, help students to review independently, targetedly and systematically and help teachers to find weakness and fill gaps, thus ultimately optimizing middle school mathematics lessons.This research mainly includes two parts. In part 1, the principles and strategies of middle school mathematics review teaching based on concept map are discussed. First, through the questionnaires to students and interview to teachers, we understand the status of the current junior middle school mathematics teaching; Then, according to the prevalent problem in mathematics teaching, such as the deviation of understanding, role confusion, improper teaching and learning method, with concept map as a teaching tool and a meaningful learning theory and constructivism theory as the teaching support, the mathematics teaching principles of junior middle school based on concept map were proposed:principle of autonomy, principle of systematic and principle of creative; Finally, the mathematics teaching strategies of junior middle school based on concept map were put forward:advance organizer strategy and meta cognitive strategy.In part 2, a comparative study was made on the middle school mathematics review teaching based on the concept map and general review teaching. First, the design of classroom teaching including selection of object of study, research methods, analysis framework and research hypothesis are determined; Then, specific classroom teaching is carry out, mainly from the three aspects of teaching design, teaching record, between teachers and students in the classroom activities of comparative research based on the concept map of the review teaching and conventional teaching review; Finally, from the perspective of the cognitive load, learning effectiveness and efficiency, and learning behavior habits, the results of comparative study were analyzed and corresponding conclusion is reached:(1)the review teaching based on the concept map can reduce the cognitive load;(2)the review teaching based on the concept map can improve the learning efficiency and learning efficiency;(3)in the short term, the review teaching based on the concept map has little effect on the learning behavior of the students.Finally, through analyzing results of this research, it can draw a conclusion that mathematics teaching of junior middle school using concept maps is effective, and in a certain extent it can realize "burden reduction efficiency" which new curriculum reform advocates, providing a reference for teachers on the review teaching. And by reviewing the research process, reflection on the existing problems was made, and then the future research prospects were put forward.
