This paper choose Han nationality workers of 'hydropower unit 2' in Kuqa as the objects of the research, with the background of history and culture in Kuqa oasis, the author investigated and analyzed the social life and identity of Han nationality under the "unit system". During the planned economy period, there has a special organizational form that is 'the community units of enterprise society type', the unit workers production and living together, it makes both workers and their families have a strong unit identity, but as the reform of unit system, the identity of this part of group gradually change. With the establishment and development and the dissolution process of this unit, the Han nationality's identity became to change, the writer will through this line to observe and explore the change of this multiple identity.For the construction and development of water conservancy projects in the border areas, the state and the government have moved into a large number of Han workers from the mainland. With the development of the unit, the stability of the work of Han workers and real life needs, they also settled here, the unit is also responsible for the arrangements and solve the work and life of the family members. These Han workers and their families not only achieved the migration of household registration, but also means the transformation of identity, workers and their families had become the'staff of the unit'. After the 1990s, the development of this unit facing difficulties, it had disintegrated, the worker lost their unit, from 'unit person' to 'social person', with the national shantytown renovation project, the last boundary of unit and local society is broke, the interaction between the worker and the local society is closer, and their identity has changed.In the new period, in an unit community composed of immigrants, the workers showed multiple identities, including unbreakable original township identification; new regional identity; for the cultural identity of Kuqa oasis, and formed in the ethnic communication process of the self national identity and to others identity. Han immigrant groups regional identity to Xinjiang presents some differences, compared with the Han immigrants which moved after 1990s, the'old Xinjiang Han nationality' have more recognition in Xinjiang, Xinjiang has been recognized as a home rather than just Mainland home, they lived in Xinjiang over half a century, the concept of home gradually indifference, few of them have 'roots' idea.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first part is the introduction of the significance of the topic, research methods, current situation research and define the related concept; the body of the first chapter describes the evolution of Han ethnic group from Han Dynasty to the Republic of China in Kuqa, and have a overview of Han immigrants which moved after the establishment of the Republic of China; The second chapter first describes the field point, followed describes the beginning of unit that the establishment of immigrant society, their identity changed from the "migration to the unit people" and adaptation problem faced in the early years of migration was described; The third chapter from the development period of the unit to observe their identity, mainly discuss from their social relations network reconstruction and inter ethnic communication. The fourth chapter analyzes the change of Han workers' identity after the disintegration of the unit, their identity changed from "unit identification" to "regional identity" in Kuqa. The last part is the conclusion.
