Dulangkou Middle School “No Teacher Classroom” Study

This article, based on history lessons, is a research for "no teachers in the classroom" teaching model of Dulangkou middle school."No teachers in the classroom" teaching model is a new thing emerging in the curriculum reform, which is the most representative in Dulangkou middle school. Besides, it symbolizes the maturity of the curriculum reform in Dulangkou middle school and meanwhile it can be as a good reference for other schools in curriculum reforms.The main content of this article will be divided into three chapters.In the first chapter, the author discusses the reasons and theoretical basis of "no teachers in the classroom" teaching model in Dulangkou middle school. This teaching model aims to break teachers' monopoly on class, make students become the true masters, and cultivate students' autonomous learning abilities. For one thing, it comes into being when this school encounters the new bottleneck in the process of curriculum reform and leadership wants to reform with keen determination. For another, it occurs on the basis of the inner drive of innovation quality from teachers and the relatively mature development of students' self-management. Moreover, the teaching theories of Humanism and Constructivism, the theory of Proximal Development Zone from Vygotsky, Mr. Tao Xingzhi's "gentlemen, Ye Shengtao's educational theory of "teaching is the purpose of not teaching", and etc. provide a solid theoretical basis for this teaching model.The second chapter expounds main types and concrete operational processes of "no teachers in the classroom" teaching model in Dulangkou middle school, including preview class, presentation class and feedback class. Respectively, the preview class generally includes six steps:writing task, students' preview, difficulties inspiration, text memory, preview show and effect check. And the presentation class contains five links: pre-show communication, specific aims, team work, show promotion and consolidation and test. In the process of feedback class, the comment on exercises contains three parts: allocating tasks, students to answer questions and exercises evaluation. However, there are no big differences on operation procedures between secondary presentation class, unit preview class and presentation class.The third chapter mainly focuses on reflections and suggestions for "no teachers in the classroom" teaching model of Dulangkou middle school. It is obvious that "no teachers in the classroom" teaching model exerts great influence on stressing students' dominant role, fostering teachers' ability to reform, and extending influence of schools and so on. However, it still needs to pay attention to the cultivation of little hosts in the class, the appropriate leading effect of teachers, the degree of students' correction of writing on the blackboard and the development of the underachievers.Innovation is the soul of a nation's progress, and education especially needs unceasing spirit of innovation. The new curriculum reform is a revolution in the field of education. Only through putting the "no teachers in the classroom" teaching model in the background of the new curriculum reform to study, can we find its true value and significance.
